About two dozen supporters turned out Saturday April 19 to support Macy
Morse, jailed at Willow Street in Manchester for Civil Disobedience action.

Sgt. Barrett from the Manchester Police explains to supporters,
in a friendly manner, that there is just one way to do things.
No bull horns, don't block the sidewalk,
no "honk if you.........." signs, and keep moving.

The guards were apprehensive. One felt that we would "rile the inmates
up".
We believe, according to an informed source, that this is the
cell where Macy is being held. Macy Morse has termed the
facility "oppressive".

Support was strong. People came from Manchester, Concord, Nashua,
The Seacoast Area, and other places.

Some of Macy's family turned out.

Long time activist Doug Bogen was there. Concord Monitor reporter
Sidney Levens wrote an article which appeared in the Sunday Monitor April
20th.
Veteran peace activist Eileen Brady from Nashua
made the trip to show support.

Members of the Newington Five came. Ruth McKay,
who faces trial in May for Civil Disobedience, came
from Concord. Veterans were also well represented.
Many activists from the Seacoast were present.
